Midnet Media Intern Spotlight - Carly Caywood
2021 Summer Intern
My name is Carly Caywood I am a Sophomore at Bowling Green State University, and I am studying Graphic Design. I chose Graphic Design as my major because I love making things look “nice” and “pretty.” When thinking about future career choices, I knew I wanted to do something where I could create something every day. My dad is a graphic designer and once I saw what he did, I was really inspired to take the graphic design route over other options. From this internship, I hope to gain more experience with photoshop and illustrator and to learn valuable skills to help me with my design classes as well as in the future. Overall, I hope to gain a glimpse of what my future career could look like.
In my free time, I like to hang out with friends, draw, listen to music, go outside and be active, go on social media, and take naps.
We asked Carly to answer a few questions that we feel really help to get to know her!
- Someone gives you an elephant. You can’t sell it or give it away. What do you do with the elephant?
I would call a zoo and ask them how to take care of it and go from there.
- What three items would you take with you if you were shipwrecked on a deserted island where all your food and water needs were taken care of?
A machete, a fishing net, and a mirror.
- Would you rather fight 100 duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck and why?
I would rather fight one horse-sized duck because fighting one thing versus one hundred things is probably faster.
- If you could choose one song to play every time you walked into a room the rest of your life, what song would you choose and why?
Cowboy Take Me Away by the Chicks because it's my favorite song of all time.
- If you had to work but didn’t need the money, what job would you choose?
I would open a smoothie or shaved ice shop in Hawaii.
